I’m having internet issues. If this doesn’t come out, whatever. I liked Juno, but I HATE Diablo’s EW back page articles. I’ve met her on several occasions at the New Beverly (details later)… she’s kind of a bitch. Though it appears she’s dating Edgar Wright, FYI.

My aunt’s friend painted portraits of my brother and I from pictures my parents sent. My dad still has these paintings, and they are hung next to our high school graduation pictures.

Luckily, my father lives 2500 miles away, where no one I know will ever see them. Because my high school picture is all in this “word to your mother” pose. (God that photographer was bad.)

But I agree, just because they painted it, doesn’t mean it has to be prominently displayed.

And I also agree about Juno - I liked it a lot, but there were a few “consciously hip” moments.

I have a painting of myself in a sailor suit when I was six. While it was getting painted over a several day period, I had maliciously cut off one of my braids. My mother was furious, but the painter just painted the damn thing in. No biggie. Some people are just such drama queens.

So, this portrait happened by accident? I can only pray that the next time I do work for someone, I receive as payment a formal portrait of myself seated on a leopardskin divan, possibly wearing a turban. Or a foxhunting jacket.

What absolutely HORRIFIES me is that the press were able to spy on Amy Winehouse. Where does this stop? How would any of us feel if somebody were to videotape us in the privacy of our homes or elsewhere and then post it on the internet?
