Here’s where you all roll your eyes. Again.

I’m watching the Survivor finale right now. I really hope Yul wins. He’s all hot and brainy.

My life has been pretty boring this week. I’m on yet another diet(I KNOW), this time in a last ditch effort to get pounds off before my hernia surgery. This fucking hernia causes me to be hungry all the time, and the food I eat goes out of my stomach super fast, so I’m hungry again right away. It’s really fun. Not really. Have I mentioned what a GREAT time of year it is to be on a ridiculous 1000 calorie-a-day diet? It’s awesome. There’s a ten pound box of See’s candy sitting on my desk at work, baskets of cookies, cakes, and muffins.

This will prove to be a ginormous test of my willpower, which I pretty much don’t have. One good thing is that I’m constantly trying to keep myself occupied, and it’s motivated me to finish this enormous blanket I started crocheting about two or three years ago, and would work on furiously for a week or two, and then put away for four months. It’s only about a third of the way done, but dammit, I am determined.

I’ve decided that since I’m having the final stage of my gastric bypass surgery next year, 2007 will be The Year Andria Gets Her Shit Together. I’m not sure exactly what all that entails yet.

Things I plan to do in 2007:

NOT use credit cards (this of course will probably not happen)

Get on a plane and go somewhere

Stop letting stupid things piss me off

Stop letting people that don’t matter affect me

Be a better friend and family member

Put more into my savings account

Not keep my goddamn Netflix movies for three weeks at a time

NOT be 3000 miles away from someone I love.

I’ll be interested at the end of next year how many of those things I can cross off the list.

I made the lemon ginger poundcake that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago this morning. It tasted very good, but was not dense like a poundcake. It was very much like a regular cake. It was not too sweet, and the lemon and ginger flavors were good, though next time I’ll put more ginger. If you like lemon or ginger, I recommend it. (Dude, I totally know I mentioned being on a diet one paragraph ago. I took three bites and gave the rest to my family. So there.)

I’m so glad Yul won.

I wonder if he’s into fat American chicks with a foul mouth and a bad attitude?
