Well anyway I couldnt quite determine which I should be doing or if I should be doing both processes. Still after rebooting it stayed at this black screen of death. But QTParted is included with Kubuntu live cd and Knoppix CD. (it is a kde package) Enjoy.. I clicked and in 2 seconds i got D-100GB :) IMPORTANT!!!

As to this recipe, it didn't work in my case. The "Load Drivers" button is nonsense; after searching around I've learned that you can't do anything with it, apparently. Needless to say, if you don't have any space you can use on the same disk, you will not be able to extend the partition any further. As currently there is no retail vista partition utility available currently.

(You can create this manually with the DISKPART program on the command line.) You can see the || that I've "drawn"? Then right-click the system boot volume (C:) you want to expand, but you will find "Extend Volume ..." is a grayed out and unusable state, how is this going on, can please is there anyway to shrink the C drive and den extend D drive or sumthn??
One thing though, in my case there was another partition between Drive-C and the deleted one , which added some complication to the instruction.
