went to google to try to follow other advises and tried to do malware removal . No help. Locate Windows Firewall Authorization Driver in the list and double click on it to open its Properties box. I Googled the files referred to in the link you gave me, and it seems that others have had similar problems and luck with this solution.

Not a member? Double click and set Startup Service as automatic.

No AntiMalware will 'fix' a firewall, and as I said, may already be running in your copy of Norton/McAfee/etc. Although the installation was a little hairy and it took a loooong time to get all the windows updates, the computer is certainly working better and my issues appear to be Windows 10 Firewall Error 1068 Open Computer, Can Air dust out the bunnies and use paint brush on the vents, coolers, fans, etc.
